Munkus didn't eat much, more from a habit he'd started to fully establish during his college years than anything. He glanced at Mac. "It's good, thank you."

Mac nodded, glancing at both his brother's plates and almost sighing. "Welcome," he said again. "Did you keep yourself fed enough durin' college?"

Munkus caught the look and considered what more he felt like eating as he responded. "I'm here and lucid with strength and health, so yes."

Mac's look at that was even more unimpressed, and he was the only one to actually clean his plate. He had left a portion in the pot, in case the other member of their family felt like eating at whatever ungodly hour he got in at. "Well, that's somethin'," he murmured, rising.

Munkus glanced at his elder brother before finally eating just a bit more before rising as well. He dealt with his leftovers and his plate, pausing a moment and considering whether to go upstairs yet.

Tugger finally started eating, to not do so seemed to ungrateful right now, and he might as well do it before the food got cold. Besides it offered him an excuse to listen rather than join in the conversation just now. Part of him wished he could be as calm about Munkustrap's return as Macavity seemed to be.
However, he glanced up when Macavity rose, "What time you gotta head out?"

Macavity looked at his brother from the corner of his eye. "Soon. If I leave tonight, you two goin' ta manage things between you alright?" he asked, glancing over at the clock and back to the silver tabby.

There was a flicker of confusion in Munkus' blue eyes but he didn't ask, nodding very slightly, but glancing at Tugger for his answer.

Tugger considered, the realisation dawning on him that it was the first evening in a long time he wouldn't be spending the night at home by himself. He supposed that was something, though then again, if Munkustrap had never gone, the evenings might have always been different.
He shrugged finally, realising it was on him to answer. "I guess."

Mac arched a brow. "You 'uess? That's not a particularly faith-inspirin' answer."

Tugger finished his food at last and set down his knife and fork, "Worst case you'll come back t'find one of us borrowin' your bed." he shook his head, "Go if y'need to. We'll cope."

Munkus had to agree with Macavity, not the most reassuring response, but he nodded his agreement. "We'll be fine, Mac."

He glanced between them and nodded. "Alright," he said. He dithered for a moment. "Try not ta burn the house done or anythin' then," he added and headed for the door.

"Right." Tugger gave a short laugh at that, though there was little humor in it. He sighed slightly, "Night Mac."

"Night," Mac said over his shoulder, slipping from the room.
