Munkus glanced at him, a flickering smile gracing his features at that as he moved the things from his bed to Tugger's. "Could be worse."

Tugger was thoughtful, "It took a while before I put anythin' there." He'd left Munkustrap's side of the room alone for a few years, then as time went on, he'd rather stopped caring. Macavity had used the bed a few times as well, and it had stopped feeling like such a taboo to utilize the extra space. More for something to do with his paws, he took the items Munkustrap passed over and put them back where they belonged.

The silver tabby looked up from his suitcase at that, considering how to respond. "I see. I can't complain, this room's pristine compared with my roommates' tendencies around the apartment the last few years.." He withdrew a couple of books, setting them on his nightstand for the time being.

Tugger nodded, though his brother's 'other life' seemed like such an alien concept, he didn't comment further. "Y'might wanna change the sheets, it didn't get used enough f'us t'bother. Though Mac slept there a few times."

Another nod. "I'll get to that once I'm finished unpacking."

Tugger nodded, falling silent again. He swung his legs up on the bed and leant back against the pillow. This was starting to feel awkward though, but he'd rather not head back downstairs, their father would be home soon.

Munkus finished quickly enough, setting to work on stripping the bed, after he'd slid the suitcases under it. "What time does he get in these days?" He asked, trying to decide if he should take the sheets downstairs or simply wait til the next day.

Tugger gave the smallest involuntary shudder, "Anytime from now on really." a pause, "Y'gonna face him t'night?"

Munkus hesitated and then shook his head. "Not my first night back." He listened carefully and, once he'd determined there was no motion downstairs, scooped up the sheets and blankets. "I'll be back in a minute." He slipped out of the room and down the stairs to deposit the bedding with the laundry.

Tugger nodded again, "I don't blame you." he was in the habit still of staying in his room all night when Deuteronomy was home.

Munkus returned a few minutes later with some clean bedding from the linen closet.

Tugger glanced up at Munkustrap in aknowledgement, shifting slightly on the bed. "Y'want a hand with that?"

Munkus shrugged. "If you don't mind."

Tugger swung himself off the bed with a shrug, "Ain't like I got anythin' better t'do. Pass me that pillowcase." he didn't want to admit he'd felt guilty just sitting there.

Munkus tossed the pillowcase to him before turning his own attention to getting the bottom sheet on the mattress. "So..." he hesitated. "What have you been up to in the last few years?"
