Tugger collected his now empty plate from the table and took it over to the sink, leaving it with the other dishes. He'd wash up later when, he hoped, he was feeling a little more settled. For now, he turned around and faced his brother again, "Well, I guess it's jus' you an' me then." he tried not to show how much that scared him. He wasn't afraid of Munkustrap but he was still having a lot of trouble knowing how to respond to him.

The silver tabby nodded. "I guess so." His uncertainty in this situation was, mostly, hidden, but the way his eyes didn't seem to want to rest on one thing for very long evidenced it.

Tugger ran a paw through his headfur, not caring much if he mussed it, rubbing the back of his head as he studied his footpaws and wondered where they went from here.
"I, uh..." he broke off with an uneasy shrug, not really knowing what he'd intended to say but feeling he ought to be saying something. He shook his head, "I got nothin', I'm sorry," he admitted finally, "I dunno what t'say t'you. It's bin' so long I feel I need t'get t'know you all over again." another shake of the head, "Y'see things differently when you're fourteen, y'see cats differently."
It was odd, he didn't think he'd have been this honest about it if it wasn't just the two of them. He might've told it seperately to Macavity, had the other asked, but knew there was no way he could have said it to Munkustrap whilst Macavity was there.

Munkus hesitated at that, his claws fiddling with a button on his vest. "I suppose that makes sense. I've missed a lot, and I hardly expect to be able to just walk back in." He stopped, unsure of what more to say to his, now adult, brother.

"Yeah well," Tugger's tone was gruff again, "I ain't pretending I'm happy things ended up this way. But I guess y'know better than I do if it's worh it or not. Mac seems t'think so."

"I'd like to think it is. I'm here aren't I?"

Tugger rubbed an arm, "You're here now, yeah."

The silver tabby ran a paw over the back of his neck. "Well...where to start."

Tugger shrugged again. "Like I said, I got nothin'. Though I guess if you're stayin, you might wanna unpack."

The tabby nodded slightly. "I suppose that's true." He glanced around the kitchen before apparently deciding that was a good idea and turning to head toward the stairs.

Tugger considered following his brother for a moment, before deciding against it and turning his attention to washing the dinner dishes instead.
However, when he was finished, Tugger figured he might as well see how Munkustrap was getting on, it was his bedroom too, after all. So he headed upstairs.

Munkus meanwhile had found a spare space on his old bed and hefted one of his suitcases up onto it, opening the case. Currently he was considering the closet and trying to figure out exactly how this was going to work again.

Tugger stood in the doorway, watching his brother for a moment. "Half and half," he suggested finally, "that's how we used t'do it. Ain't like there's any other way." it wasn't like he had that many clothes either, if Munkustrap cared to look, he'd find two of the dresser draws almost as empty as they had been when he'd left.

The tabby glanced toward his brother, nodding slightly. "Right." He turned back to his suitcase, carefully removing the suit he had in there, everything would need to be pressed, but for now he'd just hang them up.

Tugger came in and sat down on his own bed. Not wanting to crowd Munkustrap, the room wasn't exactly big anyway. "Just chuck what's on the bed over here. Ain't quite so tidy as y'used t'make me keep it."
