Tugger consulted himself in the bathroom mirror, trying to decide what he thought of the suit Macavity had leant him, or at least of what he thought of it on himself. It looked smart, he had to admit, but felt unfamiliar too. He undid another shirt button, making a little more space for his mane to spill out. More comfortable with that, Tugger reached for a comb to start teasing it through the exposed fur.

Munkustrap straightened the tie, grimacing as he looked at himself in the cracked dressing mirror in his room, he needed to leave shortly if he was going to meet Electra, but he wasn't sure he felt comfortable in the suit. He shrugged his shoulders slightly, trying to get the suitcoat to sit right. Blast it, this was why he didn't do formal occasions. Ever. He finally managed to get that adjusted and stepped out of the room, knocking on the bathroom door.

Tugger grunted slightly at the knock on the door, but called out anyway, "It's open Munk, I'm just usin' the mirror."

[Meadowlark]

The silver tabby stepped in, both the lighting and mirror better in here than in his room. He grimaced at the state of the suit, even after having pressed it and gotten dust off it it looked like it hadn't been worn in ages. He set to work on his headfur, glancing at his watch briefly. "You as inclined to skip out as I am at the moment?"

Tugger couldn't help but laugh at that, probably longer and harder than the comment deserved, but it helped break the tension he was feeling. He moved over a little to give his brother some space at the mirror, "Wasn't my idea t'go in the first place. But yeah," he admitted, "only reason I ain't scarpered is because I promised Mac."

[Meadowlark]

"And you're wearing his suit." Munkus replied, carefully styling his hair, trying to get it to lay properly for the evening. It was one thing when he could hope to have it covered by a hat, another in a situation like this.

"I am," Tugger agreed, "though I ain't sure about it." he wriggled his shoulders, "It fits well enough, it just feels... odd. Like y'can tell it's not mine."

[Meadowlark]

"I feel the same about this one, but I know it's mine. You look fine, utilize your natural charisma and no one'll notice the suit." Munkus reassured.

[amanika]

Tugger arched an eyebrow, "Reassurin' that." he turned to properly look at his brother, "Y'look fine, mebbe' a little like you're about t'crack, but the suit seems alright t'me."

[Meadowlark]

Munkus offered Tugger a bit of a smile. "You don't look so bad yourself." He checked his watch again. Ten to fifteen minutes before he needed to head out.

Tugger finished combing his mane, pausing to preen for a moment in front of the mirror before he started on his head fur and catching Munkustrap checking his watch.

"So what time you pickin' this gal of yours up?"

Munkus looked at Tugger, his brows rising in surprise. "What?" He finished slicking down his hair, stepping back and considering his appearance, it'd do.

"Oh c'mon 'Straps," Tugger shook his head, "Y'told Mac, did y'really think I wouldn't find out? When were y'gonna let me know, before or after I ran inta' the both of you t'night?

[Meadowlark]

"I..." He hesitated a moment. "I wasn't sure yet. Wouldn't have told Mac except I wanted to let him know I was bringing a guest with me."

"Sure about what?" Tugger pressed as he ran his comb under the tap, hoping the water would tame his headfur a little more.
