Cor entered the house, setting the stack of books he'd gotten from the library down by the hall table. He glanced through them before pulling out the one he really wanted. He'd put the rest in his room later. He slipped into the living room and curled up in the chair by the window with the copy of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn he'd been trying to get a hold of again. The young cat's tail tapped lightly against the seat cushion, his ears tilted forward as he started to re-read the story.

Within a few moments of the door closing, there was a patter of feet on the stairs and Tantomile padded into the hallway, making straight for the pile of books, her eyes flicked to studying the spines rather than the living room as she called through to her twin. "What did you get this time, aside from Huckleberry Finn?"

Coricopat didn't look up. "Hm?" He finished the paragraph he was int he middle of before looking up. "Umm...I think I picked up some of Alcott's and a couple Dickens. Oh, and I picked up Whitman's Leaves of Grass. Been wanting to tackle that one."

Tantomile nodded, "Let me know what you think of it." she flicked through the pile again, taking out a couple of books and coming to the doorway, "Mind if I borrow these whilst you read the others?"

Cori finally looked up, checking which ones she had in her paw and then nodded. "Sure. Go ahead."

Tantomile turned to smile at her brother, "Thanks Cori." she couldn't help but add a triumphant chuckle as she caught the cover of the book in his hands.
Shaking her head, she chose the chair opposite Coricopat and sat down in it, tucking her feet carefully beneath her, she balanced one book on the arm of the chair and opened the other to start reading.

He raised an eyebrow at the chuckle. "What?"

"Hrm? Oh, I was joking about Huckleberry Finn," she paused to study her brother over the top of her own book, "what would this be, the fifth time you're read that now?"

He shrugged. "Fourth I think. I like the book, and they didn't have any of the Tom Sawyer set in today so..."

"Nevermind that there's a whole pile here you haven't read." Tantomile remarked, though her eyes were sparkling with good humor.

He smiled a bit sheepishly. "Well, why start with ones I don't know if I'll like when I have one I do know I will?"

"But if you don't enjoy a new one then at least you have that one to look forward to afterwards, if you already just read it and don't like the any of the new ones, then you'll have nothing left to read." Tantomile reasoned, "Until you can get to the library again."

Cori looked at her for a moment and then nodded. "True, but I have read Dickens' David Copperfield and enjoyed it. This one's to start out and that one's to finish with."

Tantomile laughed, "In that case it seems you can't be swayed, but just as well you're reading Dickens last," she held up the book she'd just opened, "what did you think of it?"

He laughed a bit. "Well, you'll spend most of the book convinced the main character is an absolute idiot, but he gains a bit of sense near the end."
