Sonya cursed under his breath, far too much paperwork spread out over his desk. This case was insane, he decided, fumbling a paw around, hoping it would run into his coffee cup without him having to lift his head up to find it. Several empty cups were scattered over the desk, and he found his latest cup only to find it empty.
Another round of cursing resulted as he rose to find where he left the coffee pot. He only hoped he would not have to make more.

There was a soft knock at the Commissoner's office door from one of Sonya's officers, who had the somewhat thankless task of showing in their guest, who was even now tapping her claws impatiently on her briefcase.

Sonya growled in the back of his throat before smoothing his headfur down, and readjusting his suit. Returning to his chair he called out, "Come in!"

"Dr Zimmerman to see you Sir," the officer announced, clearly he'd already been abashed for using the wrong title at least once already. He closed the door behind the tall queen looking relieved his part in this was over.

Sonya's spine straightened and he stood, holding his paw out. "Ah, Dr. Zimmerman. Thank you for coming. I am aware that you used to work with my predecessor on cases fairly often. I am Sonya Vlask."

Tantomile crossed the few paces to the desk, doing her best not to wrinkle her nose at the complete disarry the place seemed to be in. Instead, she leant across the desk and shook the offered paw, "A pleasure to meet you comissioner." she offered him a smile, taking in the apperance of the cat before her, noting his stature and the slight Russian accent. "That would be correct, there were a good number of instances when I would help him out with witness or defendant profiling. I presume you've got a similar case on your hands?"
Tantomile wasn't known for beating about the bush, already interested in getting straight down to business. She looked for a chair on this side of the desk, raising an eyebrow when she found it to be covered in papers, better wait to be offered a seat then.

Sonya followed her eyes and managed not to start swearing. It had been a long night.
Coming around the desk, he started clearing the chair off, picking up other various papers as well as he moved them all to a shelf on the side of the desk. "Still trying to figure out the last Commissioner's system," he said, feeling like he was making excuses and not liking it. "Everything's disorganized. So, yes, I have a suspect I would like you to take a look at."

Tantomile waited pointedly until the chair was clear, before pulling it carefully a little closer to the desk and sitting down. Unable to find space on the desk, she put her briefcase on the floor next to her and whipped out her notebook and pen from a pocket. "You've got a copy of the case notes I can look over? Though if you'd fill me in briefly now we may be able to make a start tonight."

Sonya did have the case notes... as soon as he could remember where they went after four in the morning. He glanced around the room, feeling a little panicked. "Right. I'm sure I can fill you in. He was picked up in regards to a shoot out a day ago, but he seems... off. He keeps ranting and raving about some demon paw or something like that. Says this demon made him do it, and then he cracks up. It is... rather disturbing. We were wondering if he was insane." He shuffled through some papers as he talked, finally unearthing the notes, and holding them out to her. "Here you go."

Tantomile raised an eyebrow again as she listened to Sonya's words, taking the case notes from him and flicking through them, "Thank you, I doubt it. You'd be amazed what criteria you have to fill to actually be considered clinically insane. Though that doesn't mean that's not what he wants you to think." she glanced down at the notes again, before scribbling something in her notebook, "Or he may be just a very confused individual. Do you still have him in custody?"

"Course," Sonya grunted. "No one's come to bail him out, and he's a prime suspect in a murder."

Tantomile nodded, "If you'll allow me tonight to read over the case in detail, I'd like to come in and see him sometime tomorrow."

Sonya nodded. "Of course. Any help you could be would be much appreciated." Also, if she left it meant he might be able to go home that night and actually sleep.

She looked hard at him for a moment, turning deftly to another page in her notebook and scribbling something down. Then Tantomile sat back in her chair slightly, "How long since you became Comissioner here?"

Sonya blinked at her, brain taking a moment to process that. "Five, no, six days," he said finally. "Why?"
