Mungojerrie Wheeler was seated at the bar, his back leaning against it, his toes tapping against the rungs of the stool. He was itching to get out on the dance floor, but so far hadn't seen any queens he was interested in dancing with. Well, that wasn't quite true, but most of them were with other toms or constantly on the floor already.

As she entered, Demeter looked around. She was rather impressed. This wasn't the type of place she usually frequented. Her eyes fell finally on the bar. And she saw Jerrie. "Ele, is that who I think it is?" She whispered to the queen next to her, indicating Jerrie at the bar.

Electra glanced over at the tom indicated. "I don't know, is it?" He certainly looked an awful like Teazer. She grinned at the other queen. "If it is, he looks like he could use a dance partner."

Jerrie tipped his fedora back, taking a sip of his drink and concealing his grimace before setting it back down. Something told him their more expensive drinks would taste better, but they could probably use some better low-end stuff. He drew out his latest carving, running his paws over it, itching to work on it but deciding that it wouldn't be a good idea at this point.

Deme blushed. "Ele, what do I do exactly? This is something I've done. What if he doesn't recognize me?" She was really nervous. About what though, she wasn't entirely sure.

Electra offered her a comforting smile and then pushed her lightly in the tom's direction. "Go up, and say, hello, my name is Demeter Baines. I believe I recognize you from where I work, the Walnut Cafe. Would you like to dance?" She was still grinning. "I'll be right here, at the bar, watching, okay? You can do this. Even if he turns you down, which he won't by the way, I'll be here to give him a slap across the face. Now go on." She gave her another gentle push toward him.

Jerrie glanced around again, sighing. He was about ready to call it a night.
((Just so you both know, it's not necessary to go in a pattern. If two particular characters are talking feel free to continue the conversation, just don't leave the third character in the dust.))

She gulped in nervousness and headed to where Jerrie was. "Hello, I don't know if you remember me. My name's Demeter Baines and we met where I work, at the Walnut Cafe." She said this a little rushed. She softly and shyly asked, "Would care to dance?"

Smiling, Electra went to another part of the bar and sat down with her back against it so she could keep an eye on the pair of them. Tapping her foot a little in time to the music, she glanced around the club, content to stay where she was for the time being.
((And she's just going to hang out there for a bit. Carry on.))

Jerrie looked at the gold queen in some surprise, but offered her a grin as he rose. "I'd love to. If you'd like a course."

Her grin brightened considerably. "Of course I want to. I wouldn't have asked if I didn't."

She smiled shyly as she took his paw. "How have you been?"

"Busy, but good. Lookin' forward to th' holidays. You?" He led her out to the dance floor, pausing to get the rhythm of the song before leading her into the basic swing step.

She grinned, "Busy as well, but my day just got better." She then blushed. Did I just say that? She was glad that they were starting to dance. It had been awhile.
