Munkustrap hesitated for several minutes before approaching Richard's General Goods. He still wasn't sure what he was doing there, he had no reason to be there, in fact he really ought to just turn around and catch the next bus home. This was not his best plan in a while, but he'd told her he'd be here, and didn't he deserve an occasional evening out? Besides, she was sweet and...well, it was too late to turn back now. He was at the store.

Electra perked up when she saw Munkustrap approaching the store from where she had been leaning against the counter, her coat draped over one arm, hat already on her head. She pushed off from the counter, walking over to the door and turning the lights out as she went, keys already out to lock up. "Hello," she said brightly upon walking outside, closing the door behind her and turning to lock it.

The silver tabby offered her a smile in response. "Hello, Electra. Shall we?"

"Of course," she said, linking her arm with his and hoping that he wouldn't pull away at the motion. "So, now that we're going someplace together, should I call you Mr. Hollister or Munkustrap?"

He glanced down at their linked arms but didn't draw away. "Munkustrap, or even Munkus is fine. Especially considering we're going somewhere together. Which reminds me, I don't actually know where we're headed."

Electra laughed and gently pulled him down a street. "Well, that's what you have me for. It's called the Chrysalis if that helps." She was perhaps too pleased by the fact he gave her permission to call him by his first name.

"Considering that it's not exactly above ground thanks to the Volstead Act, no I don't believe I have." He replied. Not that knowing about it mightn't be useful for business sake.

She grinned, guiding him gently down the streets, sure of where she was going after having gone so many times before. "Well, it's rather laid back. And has a good band."

"Sounds like you've been a few times." He remarked, a gentle smile playing about his lips.

She shrugged slightly, glancing up at him. "It's my favorite speakeasy in town. I've checked out quite a few of them since I like jazz so much and this one won my heart."

He chuckled softly in response. "So then I suppose that means we'll be going here relatively often, then?"

Her face broke out into a grin. "Oh, most likely," she replied, feeling a little giddy at the idea that he was thinking this would be more than a one time thing.

"Assuming of course you wouldn't mind seeing each other again?" Why was he asking this before the date? He mentally rolled his eyes at himself. Some days....

Electra grinned at him. "Well, unless I find out you have bodies in your closet, I'm going to go out on a limb and say 'most likely.'"

He managed a laugh at that, even as his ears twitched very slightly. Bodies like a rum-running gang, or bodies like a mob boss as a brother? "I'm glad."
