Misto nodded. "Thanks. That... I'll try that tomorrow." He glanced around the room again. For some reason he felt a little surprised at the offer, especially considering that for some reason he had thought the other was just a lawyer. But, of course, he thought, no one in Felidae was entirely clean, and the idea bothered him less than it probably should.

Coricopat studied the younger tom as he continued sharpening his claws. A useful resource that was true, but what the hell had possessed him to give him a key to that house? Or for that matter offer him a job at the Demoniaque card room?
