"Well find a way to get close to him. Either you or one of the boys keep an eye on him. We've buried evidence before, and we can do it again so long as it stays below Goody-two-shoes radar."
Mac answered simply, if somewhat distactedly as he thumbed through his papers, "I really wouldn't have thought you'd bother me with trivial business. Its all old tricks."

Coricopat chuckled dryly, "Perhaps I was missing your lovely visage" he replied sarcastically. "The final order of business I needed to bring to you was what your plans are regarding your brothers. At the moment we aren't having issues with them, but it's only a matter of time before they move from being a slight twinge of irriation to being a real thorn in your paw."

Macavity's face dropped darkly at the mention of his brothers, aqua eyes suddenly ablaze. "I'll be dealing with them personally" Macavity growled suddenly.

Coricopat arched one eyebrow sharply. "Both of them? I know there's no love lost between you and the eldest but..."

Mac passed a cold look to the mismatched fur of the A.D.A. "I don't believe responsibility for their mistakes falls to you." The ginger fiend snarled.

Coricopat held up his paws placatingly. "I don't recall saying they were. Just offering my assistance should you wish it. That's all, as always."

"I can't say you'll be tasting their blood on your paws anytime soon..." Mac gave Corciopat a perceptive, grouchy look, noting his calm demeanour. "So you can busy yourself with something more pressing..." Mac slid one of the papers, selected from the middle of the pile, across the dark timber.
"See what you can do about this little snitch. He's part of Marcellus' heists, but he's attempting to cut a deal with your office for a lesser charge should he testify against us."

The lawyer took the file, skimming over it. "And you're not utilizing your usual methods?" He decided not to pursue that dry line of conversation. "I'll see to it I'm in charge of his negotiations. He'll be dealt with."

Mac let a gentle twitch grace the corners of his mouth, eyes twinkling maliciously. "I didn't say you were restricted in the methods of his removal."

The mottled tom chuckled humorously. "Oh, he has a gal....how stupidly sweet. One does have to wonder if cats actually go looking for ways to make our job easier."
((Mac's color changed?))

"Suit yourself. You've been underworked as of late, in my opinion." Macavity commented with a gentle sort of amusement only the ginger himself would find humourous.

"Bored out my mind is more like. The D.A.'s office just finished the only case of any real interest and I don't expect another one for a while. As to this cat...hm. Well, starting with the gal will work, and if it doesn't, there are other methods."

"Just rememer...your work to me is a priority; I wouldn't be happy to see any of those boring cases cutting future deals against me."
The demon dropped his papers back on his desk, reclining backwards on his leather chair and falling silent.

Coricopat looked nonplussed. "You honestly think that I'd be stupid enough to go against a cat who slits cats' throats for pleasure? Of course work for you takes priority."

Macavity passed back an equally unassuming glance. "I expect nothing less, of course.
