Cohen came through the door moments later, glancing around the room. His eyes lit on the two brothers. "If you'll follow me."

Tugger's ears flattened a little more when Cohen appeared, he had a distinct feeling that this was likely to hurt. He couldn't read the doctor's expression, which made him uneasy, and he glanced at Macavity, waiting for his brother to stand first.

Mac looked from the doctor back to Tugger. Keeping the younger cat's paw still in hand, Mac stood, and walked toward the doctor.

Tugger got to his feet what Macavity did, though he was a few steps behind his brother as the crossed over to where Cohen was standing.

The doctor held the door open for them. "We'll be in the third door to your left. I'll be there in just a moment."

Mac nodded, still leading Tugger. "Thank you," he said to the doctor.

Tugger was still silent as they went into the room Cohen had indicated. Though when they were alone there for a few moments, he caught Macavity's eye briefly, "I'm sorry." he said quietly, "I'm actin' like a bleedin' kitten."

Mac reached out a paw and ruffled it through Tugger's headfur. "You're fine," he said. Tugger would hate to hear it, but Mac probably still saw him as rather a kitten, used to taking care of him.

"Thanks," Tugger settled for nodding at his brother, he still couldn't muster a smile, "an' I don't just mean f'sayin' that."

"Course," Mac said a bit gruffly. "It's not..." He certainly wasn't going to actually come out and say he'd do anything for his brother. "You're welcome," he settled for finally.

Cohen tapped lightly on the door, stepping in. "Alright, let us get a look at these and see what we can do, hm?"

Mac moved to lean against the wall, trying to give the doctor room to work.

Tugger's ears flattened, tail wrapping around his leg again and he tensed when his brother moved away. However, he stood still to allow the doctor to look at him, though he didn't take his eyes off Macavity.

The doctor paused a moment--reactions like that and all he did was fall down a flight of stairs onto milk bottles? Right. He motioned to the bed in the room as he looked at the youngest tom. "Have a seat, lad."

Tugger did as he was instructed, perching on the edge of the bed as he had on the chair in the waiting area. He flicked his tail into his lap, playing absently with the end of it, he still didn't take his eyes off his brother.
