Mac tilted his head to one side, considering. He had managed to scrounge up some money doing odd jobs over the weekend, before his father had gone on yet another drunken rampage, and hadn't had any chance to spend it. "Was thinkin' of goin' down to the cafe," he said. He wanted another go at a milkshake, as he so rarely got them.

Coricopat nodded slightly. "Sounds good to me."

"Good. You," he said, pointing a paw at Coricopat. "Are buyin' me a milkshake then." He did have some money, yeah, but Cori probably owed him at least a little for that comment earlier.

The other tom arched an eyebrow at that but shrugged. "Fair enough."

Mac nodded, turning and heading in that direction.

Coricopat fell into step next to him, finally stepping ahead as they reached the cafe, opening the door and holding it open long enough for Mac to catch it.

((... Um, Cori...))
Mac paused at that, giving his friend a long look. "You are so strange," he said, stepping through the door.

"Like you're one to talk." He retorted, making his way over to perch on a stool at the counter.

Snorting, Mac followed him, dropping his much abused back and perching on a stool as well. "Sure, but I don't go 'round openin' doors for toms."

"Technically I held it for you to catch it, not like I waited til you were through it." Cori corrected.

Mac arched an eyebrow and shook his head. "Still strange."

"Not that strange." Somecat finally emerged from the back to see what they would like.

"Not the door thin', just you in general," Mac said, turning to the new cat.

"Again I say: you're one to talk." Cori turned to the cat behind the counter. "A vanilla milkshake for me please." He glanced at his friend. "What're you having, Mac?"

Mac rolled a shoulder. "The same," he said.
