Mac pulled his tie off as he took the stairs up to the top floor. He could have taken the lift he had installed, or even the fire escape, but he liked being able to go up all thirteen floors on paw, especially with his own private staircase.
Reaching the top floor, he pushed the door open and threw his tie down onto the front desk, considering the room at large.
He took his razor out from it's holder beneath his shirt, and set it on the desk as well. The encounter with his youngest brother had unsettled him a little, and he was not entirely sure what to do about it yet.

Barely a pawful of minutes later there was a knock on the door. Hopefully Macavity would be in a more reasonable mood this evenign than he had been a couple of days before.

Mac glanced up at the sound and scowled a little. He had been too preoccupied thinking to notice the sounds of another cat approaching and that bothered him more than anything else that night had. "Enter," he called out, sliding into his chair behind the desk and steepling his paws, elbows on the desk.

Coricopat stepped inside, closign the door securely behind himself. He looked the other cat over for a long moment, usually he didn't have to bother with knocking, that was odd. "Good evening, Macavity."

"'Evening Cor," Mac replied. "Is there something you need?" He needed more time to think about what to do about Tugger--or perhaps rather what to do for Tugger.

"I've been meaning to propose something for your guests, especially those with access to the tenth floor. If you're busy though I can come back later..?" Macavity seemed a bit preoccupied, which wasn't something that happened often.

Shaking his head, Mac gestured to the seat in front of the desk. "You mentioned that earlier. Might as well do it now."

Coricopat settled into the chair. "Well, it's rather simple. I'm proposing we add a card room on the tenth floor."

Mac raised his eyebrows. "A card room? Isn't that more Jones' style?"

"I'm not talking a full gambling room. Just a couple of blackjack tables. Cats tend to be a little more free with their words when they're paying attention to cards rather than conversation." Cori responded.

Mac leaned back in his chair, his paws still steepled. "Hm. You might have a point there. How many tables were you thinking?"

"Three, perhaps four. But really it depends on whether or not we can find decnet dealers. After all they have to make sure the house wins, while at the same tiem keeping the players coming back."

Mac nodded. "You can find enough dealers like that, and I don't think it'll be a problem. Might be a good added source of revenue... and it certainly wouldn't be a bad thing to get some of Jones' clientele. Do you have someone in mind to oversee it?"

"I was thinking of Jacobsen. He's got a good head on his shoulders, but doesn't dare act without orders. He'd be able to oversee the dealers, and should know what would need to be passed on to those of us who need to know."

"Glad to see you thought this out before coming to me," Mac said. "He's a good choice." He leaned further back, almost tilting the chair over. "Find some dealers, and then we'll see about setting the room up."
